Im Jahr 2004 brachte Norrøna das lofoten-Konzept auf den Markt, eine Kollektion, die speziell für die aufstrebende Welt des Freeride-Skifahrens entwickelt wurde.
Im Mittelpunkt standen die lofoten XCR Jacke und Hose, die zu den ersten Skibekleidungsstücken gehörten, bei denen Gore-Tex XCR Technologie mit Gore-Tex Soft Shell Materialien kombiniert wurde, um Komfort, Bewegungsfreiheit und Wetterschutz zu verbessern.
Inspired by the dramatic mountains and deep fjords of Norway’s Lofoten Islands, the collection helped redefine technical ski apparel and would go on to become one of the most iconic product lines in Norrøna’s history.
Norrøna lofoten was – and still is – the cornerstone of Norrøna´s famous Loaded Minimalism design philosophy.
