In 2006, Norrøna ambassador Robert Caspersen joined Ivar Tollefsen, Stein-Ivar Gravdal, and Trond Hilde on a groundbreaking expedition to Antarctica’s remote Queen Maud Land.
Over 16 days of demanding aid and free climbing, the team completed the first ascent of the formidable North Face of Ulvetanna (2,931 m), one of the most striking and challenging peaks on the continent.
Equipped with Norrøna clothing and expedition gear, the climbers endured extreme cold, isolation, and big-wall conditions in one of the world's last great wildernesses.
The ascent was hailed as a landmark achievement in modern alpinism and further strengthened Norrøna’s long-standing connection to pioneering exploration and first ascents.
