Open Factory List
Open Factory ListThis product is made in a factory openly listed on norrona.com.
ECONYL® yarn is a 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from pre and post consumer waste such as discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste (among others coming from Norway). The aim of this process made by Italian company Aquafill is to give a new life to all kind of waste in order to make our environment cleaner. All new Norrøna backpacks from Fall 2019 are made from ECONYL® yarn.
Norrøna continuously strives to improve the function and sustainability of our products. In order to get the best combination of sustainability and performance this product was developed with a C0/NFC finish which means we removed the fluorocarbon chemistry (PFC) from the water repellent treatment. Unfortunately this may temporarily cause “chalk marks” or visual irregularities on the surface of the fabric, but it will disappear after the first wash and it does not effect the performance of the product.
