The Femund pureUll Longs are a highly-regarded base layer, primarily recommended for backcountry skiing and other cold-weather activities.
Standout Features & Use-Cases: Customers consistently praise the pureUll Longs for their exceptional warmth, even in freezing temperatures, and their ability to regulate temperature, preventing sweat during high activity. Reviewers highlight their suitability for the "Norwegian fall mountains" and "cold climates," with one user specifically mentioning their effectiveness during "backcountry skiing" and "kick turns." The product is also noted for its durability, with an expectation of lasting "many years."
Fit & Comfort: A major selling point is the superior comfort. Users describe the pureUll Longs as "super soft," "not itchy," and "stretchy." The "wide waistband" contributes to a very comfortable fit that "stays in place also after a long hike." One reviewer, despite having an athletic and short build, found the "Med" size to be "very comfortable."
Criticisms & Areas for Improvement: While overwhelmingly positive, one review notes that the product is "not overly insulating," suggesting that for extreme cold, additional layers might be necessary. The reviews don't offer specific criticisms regarding design flaws or durability issues.
Conclusion: The Femund pureUll Longs are an excellent choice for individuals seeking a high-quality, warm, and incredibly comfortable base layer. They are particularly recommended for backcountry skiers and anyone engaging in active pursuits in cold climates who values softness, stretch, and effective temperature regulation.
