Great fit and functionRelatively slim-fit down-insulatet jacket with great function. The jacket is somewhat longer than the average jacket in the category, witch is a great feature on cold and windy days. It's lightweight and offers great freedome of movement.

Overrated and overpriced. What this jacket has going for it are good looks and a decent fit.
The quality, finish, and functionality however are subpar for a jacket of this price (€400). The stitch quality is particularly poor and uneven throughout; sections of the hem appear to have been re-stitched while another stitch wanders off completely leaving an open gap.
Another annoyance is how certain baffles are unevenly filled, and then there’s the typical packing of down that leaves certain sections of baffle empty.
The jacket also isn’t very functional. The chest pocket is terribly small and being secured by two snaps makes it pretty much useless. The inside pocket while large is at the same level as the outside pocket and not easily accessible. Most people now ski with a phone and there isn’t a single pocket on this jacket that can hold one conveniently; not even the hand pockets as the phone jams into your upper thighs when skiing. No convenient pocket for a lift pass either. Here’s a suggestion : remove a few zippers from the one piece lofonen and give this a jacket a few more.
I’ve never seen a jacket so basic and void of features, and so light in down costing so much.
I really can’t recommend this jacket to anyone - it’s just ridiculously overpriced for what it is. And worst quality control ever.
Did anyone from Norrona actually go skiing with this jacket ??

Light multi purpose jacketAt first it was thinner that i thought, but it turns up it was just right for those cold days.
Really light and very comfortable material to the touch.
Still feels rigid and water resistant.
I use this for everyday traveling ECT as well as for skiing.

OVERALL GOOD EXCEPTGOOD: Great color (beyond blue of last year), face fabric is soft and comfortable, also seems durable and quite water resistant, over all a bit wide than expected but still good cut. 140gsm down is quite
BAD: down / feather runs out.
IMO, Norrona shall improve the skill to of down garments, not only the Tamok, but my Lyngen down also looses feather.
Someone may say it's normal, but I don't think so. I have other brands' item which doesn't loose feather at all.
I'm 178cm and 78KG.

I would live in this jackettuff material on the outside allows you to get dirty without worrying about ripping the fabric
extremely soft and warm for weight
prefer the longer fit as a lot of similar jackets seem short
I like the button up side pocket for looks. But would like to see an additional zipper pocket on the outside for phone etc.
I prefer the stitching to run horizontal across jacket not on angle.
Would love to see this jacket in black

nice colorvery nice color, and no bright color details either, love that. Good jacket for winter or fall/spring use, fits nice. strange sizes, not like normal European sizing. Normally I'm L (sometimes XL) but with Norrona I'm size M. I like the soft non shinny outside fabrique.

Overall a great warm jacketGot this jacket as a christmas present from my parents and I couldn't have wished for more!
I've been using this jacket on a regularly basis now for a tad over a month and I simply love it. Finally found a jacket that is long enough, as I have previously been struggling with jacket in size medium who reach me just to my beltline, so when I start to move, the jacket pulls off which leaves me cold, in an area you don't want to be cold. Same with being longer than usual, it seems to me that it is also slightly more slimmed down than most jackets.
- The downfilling itself is great, and when I speed up my pace when simply walking, I often end up having to open the zipper to cool off. Due to the natural downfill the warmth to weight ratio is rather high, but when you pack it together it tends to get bigger than other jackets ive used previously, but this is also due to the longer fit of the jacket.
- The outer pockets are nice and big, but the zipper is not too big, so you wont end up with cold hands.
- The hood is nice and big, and protects you well from bad weather, and its also nicely filled with down so you are unlikely to get cold on your ears.
- Together with the nice cuffs, this jack
- Only thing that I have to get used to is that the inner pocket is positioned lower than what they are on most jackets. I havent found this as a problem so far, and the pocket is also big enough so you can fit your smartphones or any big electric device you want to hold closer to your body for warmth.
All in all a great jacket for everyday use, and to use on the colder days while skiing.
Hi, I'm looking at this Jacket as it seems to have a good waterproof rating for a down jacket. How good is this jacket really in wet conditions?
Asked by: DaveG
The jacket has a membrane and it also has a DWR, which is why it has such a good waterproof rating. In wet conditions the face fabric will eventually become wet, but you'll still remain dry just like with other membrane jackets. Other down jackets does not have this ability, which is why this jacket is truly unique.
I hope this was helpful!

It's time to replace my trusty Lyngen Light down jacket, so I need to decide between Tamok or another Lyngen. Questions:
- How much down does the Tamok jacket use compared to Lyngen's 170 grams? Which is warmer?
- Is the Tamok as long as the Lyngen?
Asked by: Matt1234
The lyngenn lightweight down jacket has 185g of down. The tamok lightweight down jacket has 140g. The tamok jacket has less down, but has a more durable and wind/water resistant face fabric. If you wear the jacket alone I would say the tamok jacket is warmer. If you wear the jacket underneath a shell the Lyngen jacket will provide more insulation.
lyngen lightweight down jacket central back length size L = 83cm
tamok lightweight down jacket central back length size L = 82cm
