The Norrøna lofoten Gore-Tex Pro Light Pants are highly recommended for ski touring and alpine skiing, as evidenced by the numerous reviews mentioning these activities. They are praised for their lightweight, waterproof, and windproof construction, making them ideal for challenging weather conditions. Reviewers appreciate the adjustable waist, ample pockets (especially the secure thigh pocket), and effective ventilation zippers. The relaxed fit allows for layering, which is essential for fluctuating temperatures during ski touring.
While most users find the fit comfortable and flattering, some note that the pants run long and may require alterations for shorter individuals. A few reviewers also mention the lack of zippers at the bottom of the legs as a minor drawback, making it slightly more difficult to put on ski boots. Durability concerns were raised by one reviewer who experienced ripped seams, though this appears to be an isolated incident.
In summary: These pants excel in providing weather protection and comfort for ski touring and alpine skiing. They are recommended for anyone seeking a lightweight, durable, and functional shell pant for backcountry adventures, especially those prioritizing mobility and breathability. However, shorter individuals should be mindful of the length, and those seeking a pant specifically for resort skiing might consider options with boot gaiters or ankle zippers.
