In 2024, Norrøna entered into a partnership with the Norwegian environmental organization Bellona to help establish the Center for Marine Restoration, an initiative dedicated to restoring damaged marine ecosystems along the Norwegian coastline.
The partnership reflected Norrøna’s belief that protecting nature must go beyond reducing impact – it must also include actively restoring the environments on which outdoor life depends.
By supporting large-scale projects focused on kelp forests, seagrass meadows, oyster reefs, and marine biodiversity, Norrøna took another important step in turning responsibility from a business principle into concrete action.
