The fjørå flex1 mid weight shorts are highly versatile and durable shorts ideal for a wide range of activities, with mountain biking highlighted as the primary recommended use. Reviewers consistently praise their performance on the trails, noting the comfortable fit, flexible fabric, and practical features like zippered pockets and a secure phone pouch. The updated cut eliminates excess fabric at the rear, preventing it from snagging on the saddle. The adjustable velcro waist straps allow for a personalized fit, though some speculate (and hope against) a future switch to a hook-lace system.
Beyond mountain biking, users also recommend them for hiking, cycling (gravel and commuting), and general outdoor activities. The breathable fabric and side vents are appreciated for temperature regulation, especially in variable weather conditions. While most reviewers find the fit excellent, some mention the sizing running slightly large, particularly in the waist. A minor criticism is the size of the right leg pocket, which may be too small for larger phones.
Recommended for: Individuals seeking comfortable, durable, and versatile shorts for mountain biking, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits. The flexible fabric, practical features, and breathable design make them a great choice for active individuals who value performance and comfort.
