<p>Engineered for demanding high-alpine environments, these durable shell pants (544g in Men's size Large) are built to offer maximum mobility and uncompromised weather protection. They are made for all-season mountaineering, alpine climbing, trekking, and ski touring, providing complete stormproof protection whether high on an exposed wall or navigating rugged alpine terrain.</p> <p>We use a 70Dx160D GORE-TEX&reg; ePE fabric because it provides world-leading, durable waterproofness, total windproofness, and optimized breathability under extreme conditions&mdash;all with a reduced carbon footprint and PFAS-free membrane. To withstand severe rock friction and crampon strikes, the lower inner legs are heavily reinforced with a specialized Nylon and Vectran&reg; fiber mix (260g/m&sup2;) delivering exceptional cut and tear resistance.</p> <p>The main fabric is a durable 3-layer 148g/m&sup2; 70Dx160D texturized plain weave 100% recycled nylon face with a solution-dyed backer and C0 DWR treatment. Designed for maximum abrasion resistance and weather protection, it features a smooth backer that slides easily over base layers. All fabrics are bluesign-approved.</p> <p>Key features include a Comfort Waist System with a brushed interior for enhanced comfort, full hip-to-foot side zippers for maximum ventilation and easy on/off over boots, two spacious hand pockets, and a zippered thigh pocket with an internal phone sleeve. Technical ankle features include calf adjustments, an elastic cord with snap bottom hem adjustment, and integrated eyelets prepared for underfoot cord attachment.</p> <p>The pants have a technical fit with an ergonomic leg construction that improves mobility during high-stepping and technical climbing while reducing excess fabric. The 46 cm bottom leg opening is designed to fit cleanly over high mountaineering boots as well as light ski touring boots.</p>
