A jacket for ski touring that combines the
best of two worlds: waterproofness, breathability,
the weight of a normal shell jacket, with
the softness, flexibility and breathability of a soft
shell. It’s perfect if you enjoy the hike up as much
as the turns going down. The driflex™3 material
is waterproof, windproof, soft and flexible, and
has a comfortable inside material. The jacket has
long ventilation zips, hand gaiters, and a storm
hood fitted for a helmet.
A super comfortable combination of full weather protection and the comfort of stretch. driflex3 is a special 3 layer stretchy, non-porous, hydrophilic membrane utilizing a stretch woven face fabric, a printed PU membrane and a micropolyester backer.
Waterproof: 20,000 mm *
Breathability: Very Good, min. 20,000 **

Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products:
Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Gore tex why?You will never miss you're Gore-Tex with this jacket. The dry-flex jacket, fits perfect, ergonomic, light-wear and it works very well as windstopper and a breathable jacket. It's very comfortable with a big underarm zip very useful for air circulation in ski-touring activities. As ski instructor I use to recommend it everytime I've been asked.

Amazing Cold JacketI used this jacket extensively touring in Canada in the spring. The cut and design features are amazing. The massive pit zips and chest vent allow you to dump heat when you need to.
However I used this jacket again in February in Switzerland, and found it too cold. The fabric is almost too breathable. I understand that the jacket's not advertised as full winter jacket, but I would expect it to be more windproof.
So in synopsis, a great jacket for touring or springtime use, not so great in the middle of winter.

Pretty fine JacketI've bought my lyngen driflex3 jacket one month ago and already tested it on slope and in powder. I'm very happy with it. There are just three little things I asked myself: 1) What (really) is the square front pocket for? 2) Why isn't there a ski ticket pocket at the end of the left sleeve? And 3) When detatching the snow catch I wanted to zip the jacket to my lyngen hybrid pants which comes with a zip too – but the zips of jacket and pants didn't match. That's the only dissapointing fact I can say about my new set.

Best jacket I ever had!I bought this jacket after listening to my younger son how I should dress ( the 4-layer system)
And after trying this I am impressed! The jacket is light and so clever made with the pockets and ventilation. I will never change this jacket !
I can't really tell from the picture and the colours on my screen: the colour of the zippers on the yellow jacket, are they red, pink or orange? Is it the same as the hand gaiter? For the size: I'm 181cm, 72KG, which size would you recommend? Thanks!

I bought L (large). I am 180 cm and weight is 82 kg. Maybe you should choose M. My jacket is blue so I can't tell you about the color of zippers on the yellow jacket.
