Bringing breathable yet waterproof Gore-Tex into silent hunting products, the finnskogen Gore-Tex Pant was a true game changer back in the 90s. The new developed combination of brushed nylon outer fabric and a unique Gore-Tex membrane inside made it possible to apply the great properties of Gore-Tex to hunting garments - revolutionary within the hunting scene. The pants have kept their classic and retro look and are still our reigning champion of silent hunting products with great weather protective abilities. Combining the technical essence of Gore-Tex waterproofing with the silent softness of microfiber, these all-purpose, multi-pocketed pants blend durability, comfort and warmth with quiet practicality during woodland hunting. Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products:
Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Highland dry and well ventedBought a pair of these 2 weeks ago on a business trip in Oslo. Just finished a 2 day stag hunt in Pitlochry , Scotland. Performed brilliantly throughout the usual spectrum of weather at this rutting time of year. The inside leg venting system is a super design and well used on steep ascents. The pants remained bone dry during the usual Highland monsoon bursts !! Very nice bottom locking feature which can be attached to your boot laces which stops the leg riding up during deep heather walking. Overall extremely well designed pants and I look forward to trying them
out during winter hind stalking.

Great bad weather all round trousersI bought these as all round generally wet weather trousers for conditions where over trousers were not preferable. I have used them for deer stalking in wet conditions and mountain walking in snow conditions. The pocket configuration is very useful and the material is quiet. The breathable membrane hangs loosely away from the outer material which probably offers it improved protection from puncturing.
In snow conditions I found the ankle hook very useful to clip onto my boot laces. The trousers are wind proof, breath well, especially with thigh zips open as temperature control and for those who generate a lot of heat, not overly warm. If sat in a hide for a long period in cold conditions, a base layer
Would probably be a good idea. Overall I am very happy with the trousers and see their multi activity versatility as off setting their high price.
