Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products: Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Jacket The jacket is of very high quality, well designed and has lots of functional features. The inside pocket is quite handy and something, comparable products do not come with. I also like the slightly longer sleeves which protect the back of your hands. Only downside for me personally is the narrow fit but that seems related to my posture being a bit outside the norm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket The jacket is nice to wear and it works both for going to school and when going on hikes. It is a good fit for a slim teenager (size XS and not M).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect jacket for all mountains activities I bought this jacket just a year ago. I decide for the light blue one and this color is just wonderful. I recommend the jacket for mountaineering, ski mountaineering and also normal summer and winter hiking. I've tried it not yet for slope skiing but I think that matched with a soft-shell and with a warm down jacket it would be perfect also for normal ski days. At the end I recommend not only this Jacket but the entire Norrona collection which is extremely cool and above all efficient! Giacomo, 19, Italy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed, but could be just a little bit better I got this jacket about a year ago, used it quite active primary for hiking, partly for mountain biking. Mostly used in windy or rainy / foggy conditions. The pros & cons are: + Very well designed ventilation: under-arm zippers, sleeves Velcro, the lace at low perimeter - all functional and really helps to change the heat-level inside the jacket. + High collar: protects the neck and stands up to the bottom lip once the front zipper is fully locked. Great for those windy and rainy days in the mountains. + Hood: easily adjustable with one hand whether you need it wide or tight. Have not tried it with a helmet though. + Fit. Generally great fit, not baggy, not too slim - just about right for a moderate range of motion during hikes (size L for 194 cm & 75 kg). + Minimalism. There is nothing unnecessary in this jacket. - Sleeves: the length is just about right but on the short side. When the Velcro on the wrist is open - they are perfect. When the Velcro is closed tight, they go a bit short (like 1~1.5 cm to reach the knuckles). It might be a personal preference, and one may say to use gloves, but I used to have a jacket from another brand, where the sleeves were a bit longer - I that was magnificent & functional. Example given, I have Norrona Primaloft100 jacket in the same size L and the sleeves feel a bit longer. On a benefit of sleeves - the cut after the Velcro is nice and ergonomic, so the wrist has a full range of motion. - Front pockets: product description says, that they are located to be compatible with the backpack. However, I find it more convenient when the openings are close to the main front zipper: then you can open the pocket and use it with one hand. Meanwhile the current design requires opening with one hand and using with another, especially with a wide backpack, which sort of a kills the idea. - Length. When hiking with or without backpack - it is perfect. However, once finished with a hiking day and setting a tent (bending without backpack) - it runs short, so you have to pull the jacket down time to time to protect the lower back from catching a cold wind. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. 2 cm at the back part would fix the issue. In general, the pros are valuable and cons are minor (and might be just a personal habit from another gear), so I'm happy with the product and would certainly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I used this jacket for the first time up Rondslottet in Norway. First the trip was windy and there was a lot of fog. Later that day the weather turned to sunny and warm. In both these conditions the jacket performed great and I would highly recommend it.

Hei! I own a Lofoten Anorak for women and the greatest thing is that it zips into the Lofoten pants for women. Is that also possible with this jacket although it is a falketind product and also a male product?  Thank you in advance!

    Asked by: Sarah
Hello Sarah, The Falketind range of products does not come with a powderskirt, so it will not be possible to zip it to the Lofoten Pants. Best regards, Alexander - Norrøna Fan Support

Hi guys, I want buy this jacket, my question is: can I use it also for skiing in powder and also in slopes? Obviusly I will use it in ice climbing walking in winter and summer. I have another question, can I match also your powder zip with falktind pants?

Firstly the Norrona stuff is really beautifully made almost too beautiful to be crashing through trees in the back country, It so light I'm terrified of ripping it. That said it takes a beating and I've not had any problems yet. For touring and regulating temperature across 4 seasons it is brilliant and I'm really pleased. On the piste it looks rocking with bamboo green zips on grey pants matched to Bamboo green jacket, but thats upside. Great kit

Hello, could you be so kind and specify what gore material this jacket is made of? Is it c-knit? And if so, how does it compare in terms of breathability to gore pro? Kind regards, Rich

Is the 20 denier rating really 4 times less in terms of thickness or density compared to your 80 rated jackets? I am getting a replacement jacket from you after my Roldal was lost by Norrona's factory when it went for water test. Roldal is 75 rating.
