<p>Made for Arctic expedition use. Though the bib can be used during other icy winter adventures.</p> <p>This bib is the result of development started in 2005 with explorer and ambassador Børge Ousland. By combining Ousland’s decades of expedition experience with our 90 years of product development, we have created the ultimate piece for arctic expeditions.</p> <p>We use GORE-TEX® PRO in this product because it’s the world-leading quality for durable waterproofness (28,000mm), optimized breathability, and total windproofness.</p> <p>This expedition bib pant is made with three different Gore-Tex qualities to achieve optimal performance: The main fabric is a 70x160D 3L Gore-Tex® Pro material with a 100% recycled nylon face. On the knees, we’ve added a 200D 2L Gore-Tex® reinforcement made of 100% recycled nylon, which is designed as a pocket where you can add extra padding or protection (<a href="/link/702676dc628348e8b7a4af4753fb0246.aspx">download knee pad template here</a>). In the lumber section, we’ve used a stretchy, topo Gore-Tex® material for mobility and comfort.</p> <p>The lower leg is reinforced with a 350 g/m2 ripstop Vectran fabric for added durability.</p> <p>Main features include: customized pocket solutions: they are placed on the outside for easy access, and they are insulated with fleece so everything on the inside will be stored with warmth - even electronics. The full-side zips enable you to never take them off (which Børge actually didn’t during his North Pole expedition with Mike Horn) and they have snow gaiters for added protection. All pockets have pocket flaps with customized 3D pullers to be easy to handle with mittens as well as easily adjustable 38mm suspenders.</p> <p>This bib pant has a regular fit with a high front and adjustable, elastic straps and Velcro® adjustable hems. In addition, the legs and seat are pre-bent to achieve optimal mobility.</p>
