In 2012, Børge Ousland and Vincent Colliard launched the ambitious Ice Legacy Project, a long-term initiative to traverse the 20 largest ice fields on Earth.
Combining world-class exploration with scientific awareness, the project was created to document and communicate the profound changes taking place in the planet’s frozen regions as a result of global warming.
Over the following years, Ousland and Colliard would ski thousands of kilometers across some of the world's most remote glaciers and ice caps, from Antarctica and Greenland to the Canadian Arctic and beyond.
Throughout these expeditions, they rely on Norrøna clothing and equipment, helping test and refine products designed for extended travel in extreme polar environments.
Ice Legacy became far more than an exploration project. By bringing together adventure, storytelling, and science, it helps draw international attention to the rapidly changing state of the world's ice-covered landscapes and reinforces the idea that exploration can play an important role in understanding and protecting the natural world.
