Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted Bought it as an extra layer for ski touring. Light, pockets are out-of-the-way of the pack straps, can put it on without taking off my skis, and has enough wind-breaking ability to use as an outer layer. Exactly what I was looking for, and really there aren't many products out there like it to compare to. Minor problems: The insulation "fur" on the inside does come off somewhat. I find bits of it on my climbing skins sometimes. And, for me, they are not quite long enough - there is a 3cm gap between the top of my boot liner and the bottom of the pant. I'll probably sew a little flap on there...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile pants These pants are a great thermal layer to wear under ski shell pants or for after-ski lounging. Comfortable, look good, and with pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't be put off by the Euro look Bought these pants because I was freezing my private regions during a period of high pressure. Threw them on for a long cold day and with temps well below zero and steady 20+mph wind ... and I was happy as a clam. The bright green makes the locals assume I'm a Euro pro skier and they all go out of their way to ski over to me and ask where I'm from... this has been particularly pleasant since I've been trying to meet more women while out shredding the gnar. The bright green also acts as beacon supplement in the event of an avalanche because I'm the glow will permeate the snow surface and my partner will find me faster. (However... I have yet to test this feature.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband's favorite baselayer! My husband used to wear Patagonia baselayer products until I got him these pants. He always had to pull up the baselayer so it didn't bunch up with his ski boots. Now he only wears these pants on all days. He says they are extremely comfortable and feels great when skiing (expert level). He wears these UNDER his lofoten bibs, not over. He is 6'0" and 185 lbs. They fit perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for all days! I had these during a season in the alps and they saved me a few days. I have been wearing these under my shell pants for those really cold days. Thanks to the zippers on both sides you never need to take your ski boots off when taking them on or off. Great when you stop by for some aprés after a great day skiing and the temperature goes up ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for skiing! Wasn't really sure I would use these pants when I bought them but have been extremely please with them. Used them under shell pants for skiing and that setup works very well.

What are the product dimensions of the Small and Medium pants? Thank you!

Asked by: Sinbad
I have the pants and they are standard medium size. I tend to buy stuff from Norröna in medium and the fit is always perject for me. So if you have already something from Norrönna in medium then you should be OK. I am 176 cm and wigth 75 kg. Small would definitievely be too small for me. Remeber you should be able to have these pants outside and well as inside your normal ski pants. They are not bulky.

Do these pants have a packable pocket like the lyngen vest?

Asked by: johnnyl
Hi Johnnyl, Thanks for your question regarding packable pocket for the lyngen alpha pants. There are unfortunately not a packable pocket on these ones, but they pack quite small nevertheless. There are also a trick on how to make "all clothes" packable which I will try to explain. Hold your hand around the leg about 15 cm down on the leg and twist the leg one time around. Then you take the bottom part of the leg and turn it above the twist. Then the leg will be like a picket and you can stuff the rest of the pant in that pocket (leg). Will take this request for packable pocket into our Product team for further development of this product. Best regards, Jens Norrøna Fan Support
