Calculate routeJoin Norrøna for an afternoon of bouldering at Gneis
Climbing has always been a part of Norrøna. It’s part of our heritage, our products and, today, our everyday life. Here at Norrøna House, we’re lucky to have several passionate climbers among our colleagues – and even luckier to have a climbing gym right next door.
This afternoon, we invite you to share that passion with us at Gneis. Come climb with the Norrøna team and test some of our favourite climbing pieces.
Program
We’ll spend the afternoon bouldering together, with a focus on movement, technique and body positioning. Whether you’re looking to improve your movement, find more efficient ways to climb or simply want to get stronger and more confident on the wall, you’re welcome to join.
Three of our best in-house climbers will be on hand throughout the session to share tips and techniques:
Mike from the Norrøna Adventure Team, just came back from guiding Cotopaxi (5897 m), & Chimborazo (6268 m), Ecuador and is a constant bundle of joy. A lifelong climber, Mike has spent years climbing big walls in Yosemite and traditional routes around the world. A certified PCIA Single Pitch Climbing Instructor, he is happiest searching for beautiful lines in wild places, and having fun along the way.
Bjørn our hardware designer and Norrøna’s strongest boulderer, has been climbing around the world for over 20 years. A former competition climber and experienced climbing instructor and coach, he also commentates national and international climbing competitions for the Norwegian Climbing Federation and NRK. He’s the guy who can turn small tweaks into big improvements.
Magnus from the Marketing Team is happiest on the wall, whether bouldering, sport climbing or plugging gear on long trad routes. He loves trying hard and has spent plenty of time doing just that, from bouldering in Fontainebleau and sport climbing in Spain to almost two months on the granite walls of Frey and Cochamó in Patagonia last winter. He gets genuinely psyched about climbing and has a knack for building confidence and getting others psyched to try hard too.
As part of the event, Gneis is offering 30% off entry and equipment rental for event participants. Simply show your event registration when you arrive.
We’ll also have some light bites and refreshments.
