Review Summary
Updated June 27, 2026

The senja econyl70 7L Pack is a versatile and comfortable running vest primarily recommended for trail running, especially for long distances and ultra-races.

Standout Features: Excellent Bounce Control: The vest stays close to the body, minimizing bounce even at increased speeds, making it ideal for dynamic activities. High-Quality Materials: Reviewers consistently praise the premium feel and durability of the materials, suggesting a long lifespan. Adaptable Fit: The vest offers good adjustability, accommodating a range of body sizes (from S to M/L) and providing a snug, comfortable fit for most users. Thoughtful Storage: Despite its 7L capacity, the pack boasts a well-organized layout with numerous pockets, including deep front pockets for soft flasks, side stretch pockets for gels, and a main compartment for a jacket, water, and other essentials. It can also accommodate a 2.5L hydration system. Versatility: Beyond trail running, the pack is well-suited for hiking, cycling, and even inline skating, thanks to its comfortable fit and ample storage. Quick Drying: The material dries quickly, making it suitable for hot weather and intense workouts.

Common Use-Cases: The most frequently mentioned activity is trail running, with several users specifically highlighting its performance in long distances and ultra-races (up to 100 miles). It's also popular for general running, hiking, and cycling. Users appreciate its ability to carry essentials like water (up to 1L in included flasks, with room for more), a lightweight jacket, snacks, phone, and keys.

Fit and Comfort Level: The senja econyl70 is largely lauded for its excellent fit and comfort. Many reviewers emphasize that it "fits perfectly" and allows them to "forget" they are wearing a bag, even during long runs. The pressure on the shoulders is well-distributed, and it remains stable without needing constant adjustments. However, one user reported wear marks on their neck, indicating it might not be a perfect fit for everyone.

Criticisms and Areas for Improvement: Rear Compartment Stretch: The main rear compartment lacks sufficient stretch, which can cause the backplate to curve and create "hot spots" on the back when fully loaded. Pole Attachment: The pole attachment system is criticized for being slow and prone to accidental opening, especially at the back. The absence of a quiver attachment is also noted as a drawback. Weight and Breathability: Some users find the vest relatively heavy, and its breathability is not ideal for summer months, potentially leading to it feeling warm and windproof. Included Flasks: The included flasks are not universally preferred, with some users finding them harder to clean than wider-diameter alternatives. The flask holder loops are designed for the smaller diameter, leading to potential tearing if larger flasks are used. Back Pocket Accessibility: One reviewer found the back pockets difficult to reach. Price: The price is mentioned as a factor, with one reviewer feeling it's not fully justified given some "teething problems."

Conclusion: The senja econyl70 7L Pack is highly recommended for dedicated trail runners, especially those tackling long distances and ultra-races, who prioritize a stable, comfortable, and well-organized carrying solution. Its high-quality construction and excellent bounce control make it a reliable companion for demanding activities. It's also a strong contender for hikers and cyclists seeking a versatile and comfortable pack.

However, potential buyers should be aware of its limitations regarding rear compartment stretch, pole attachment, and breathability in hot weather. Those who frequently use trekking poles or prefer specific flask types might need to consider these aspects. Despite some minor flaws, its overall performance, comfort, and thoughtful design make it a strong option for active individuals seeking a premium running vest.

Perfect fit around my chedt and waist. One, a bit negative experience so far, after only using it a handfull of times, is that the water pouches kept falling out of the straps that were ment to keep them in place, in a 31k EcoTrail run I participated in. I hope I’m able to tighten the straps considerably before my next long run when I need the water pouches.

I use it for trail, hike and city tour. I can fit a lightweight gore tex jacket and 1L water in the main storing compartment. The zips are very robust and the pack fits perfectly to both my back and shoulders, much better than my decathlon one. The two soft water bottles are suite big. Small pockets are large enough to put iphone etc.

I used it for trekking and it is super well designed. The pressure on shoulders is very well spread across the body, i love it 😍. I fit a soft shell, water and food
