I've used the pants for a few stormy days near Røros in mid August, and they worked great! Light weight, they feel sturdy, good to have a little pocket on the right thigh, they are roomy enough for layers under while also easily tightening up to reduce bagginess.
I will absolutely recommend these pants for regular hiking.

Bought this garment to use for bike touring and day-hiking, not high-exertion training. The membrane is not quite as highly rated as Goretex, but for my use it is more than good enough, and less expensive. Held out very well in light rain on a bike tour in northern Norway.
