GORE-TEX® Pro is the most durable fabric technology from GORE-TEX® for outdoor use. The GORE-TEX® membrane uses a woven liner to reduce weight and bulk, enhance moisture transport and minimize abrasion, all while maintaining durable waterproofness. The ultimate storm-protection fabric.
    More about GORE-TEX® Pro
Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products: Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality waterproof trousers packed with useful features and storage. Fabric is light enough to minimise restriction of movement and feels as if it will stand up to hard work on the hill, time will tell. One minor gripe is the absence of hanging loop, have a number of pairs of Norrona trousers/shorts and none have a simple hanging loop ...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where's the bib? Was issued these pants as well as a jacket as part of my Mountain REscue Team kit issue. Great trousers and superior to some others that Ive used. My gripe is they are a bit loose in the waist and are falling down - there's a zip around the waistband so clearly there's a bib with braces (?) for atachment to the zip. I cant find a bib and last time I asked was told the bib would be made next year which seemed odd having issued the trousers this year. Has the bib been made and is it available. I cant currently use the pants and would like to. Cheers

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great for ski touring Pants are well made, but they only just fit over my ski touring boots (Dynafit Vulcan), had to take off the powder strap, but even after doing that you have to undo the side zipper and pull the pant up to go from walk mode to ski mode and back, total pain and I've gone back to using my old Arcteryx pants

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great features. The pants where well made and felt like good quality. It is a "slim fit" modelso they did not fit on me(size L too long) . 176cm 88kg. I had to pay the shipping fee for the return of the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pants that are comfortable to use. I have put around 20 hours now to the pants. First I was a bit worried about the seat part of the pants, when crouched they felt a bit tight, also the length was left some questions, but first time when I went out with them they felt good, roomy enough and I really didn´t even noticed the trousers, so they work really well. Also the if sized up they would have been too long for me. Im well in M size in Norronas sizing chart. Maybe its the slim fit or something... I use light touring boot and the fit in the ankles for me is perfect, they stay out of the way but are still roomy enough to use easily. When in crampons I felt safe and I didn´t have to worry about getting caught. Up from the knees they are cut to be roomy and moving with them is easy and feels free. Long side zippers are good to have and when opened its easy to get rid of the exes heat. The buttons in front are strong and reliable. The pockets are good, especially the thigh pocket. I have the same model jacket also.

When hiking in these pants do you think that they will make much noise as your legs brush together? And with that in mind would you recommend these pants for general purpose cold climate hiking use, or just as a shell when bad weather hits?

    Asked by: jeromethemetronome
Hello jeromethemetronome, the trollveggen Gore-Tex Light Pro pant is quite durable so it might make some noise. In very cold weather I recommend layering up with a wool or super baselayer and a midlayer like the lyngen down850 Knickers. The finnskogen Gore-Tex Pant has a brushed nylon outer fabric that makes it more silent than a regular Gore-Tex pant:

I'm 182 cm,70 kg. What size do you recommend for me in this product? I would like to only use it for skiing. The waist is about 78 cm and the inseam is about 76 cm. Also, does falketind Gore-Tex Pants (M) fit? Coz I prefer that black colour. Thanks.

    Asked by: Sun127
Hi Sun127, I recommend size M for you. The falketind gore-tex pants is great, but it was designed for trekking. You can, but I would not recommend these pants for skiing. This is because the falketind pants is thinner and lighter than the Trollveggen pants. Best regards, Sara / Norrøna

Hi Norrøna, can these pants fit over a regular pair of ski alpine/freeride boots? or are they too narrow fitted for that purpuse?

    Asked by: MathiasT
Hi Mathias, These pants are made to go with ski touring boots, so they should fit with normal alpine boots too, but it will be a slim fit. The pants from our ski collection is the safest choice for having a perfect fit, like from lofoten, røldal or tamok. Lyngen is for ski touring and will also fit, but they are also a bit more narrow than the ski collection. Best regards, Jens Norrøna Fan Support
