GORE-TEX® Pro is the most durable fabric technology from GORE-TEX® for outdoor use. The GORE-TEX® membrane uses a woven liner to reduce weight and bulk, enhance moisture transport and minimize abrasion, all while maintaining durable waterproofness. The ultimate storm-protection fabric.
    More about GORE-TEX® Pro
Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products: Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Technical details Storm hood fitted for freeride helmet
The hood is fitted for wearing a freeride/alpine helmet. With the one-hand adjustment at the back of the hood, it will also fit great without a helmet.
Technical details X-open side zip ventilation with YKK water resistant zippers
Under arm ventilation with YKK water resistant zipper that has two zipper pullers for maximum versatility when ventilating.
Two vertical chest pockets which does not conflict with harness or hip belt. These are often used for keeping your gloves for easy access. The zippers are made by YKK and are water resistant, not waterproof.
Technical details Taped seams with thin GORE-TEX® 13 mm tape
This means that the seams are taped, and that we use a special thin 13mm seam tape from Gore-Tex® to make it perform great and keep you dry without adding too much weight to the product.
    Technical details Y-sleeves™
Y-sleeves describes the fit of the arms, which gives you very good move-ability.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Whats with the hood? Just bought this from a web shop, and tried it on at home, its seems a sturdy jacket with plenty of room for layering, and the hood is generous and offers protection from sidewind. But it only has a one-point adjustment (it can be tightened from the back), and the front cannot be narrowed (a feature common on very many much cheaper jackets), rendering it useless exactly on those cold winter trips in headwind, my intentional use.. Sorry Norrøna, I will return it... But seriously, why?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite winter hard shell So great I bought 2! At first touch, the face fabric seems flimsy, but it's just deceptively light. So far, I've used this jacket for resort skiing and occasional touring, as well as sailing and every day use. As a tall slim male with a longer neck (6'2" and 180 lbs.), I absolutely love how high Norrona's collar reaches (it comes up to my nose when it's fully zipped), and the jacket's storm hood very comfortably fits over a helmet, whereas hoods on jackets from other brands seem to pull down on my head when I use them while wearing a helmet. This jacket has a roomy, expedition-style fit, but I still chose the Large size in order to be able to layer heavily (mid-layer and down puffer for frigid days) without my movement being inhibited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Norrona Trollveggen light Pro jacket Awesome jacket, Great hood, fits a helmet well, and cinches down easily without. I really like the extra coverage on the sleeves over the back of your hands. The reach across chest pockets are ideal for maps gloves nutty bars etc, and do not interfere when climbing. The drop tail keeps out drafts and the just below hip length stays in your harness. Pit zips work well. You don't notice your wearing it....enough said :) I would like a two way zip but thats a personal thing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best piece of clothing money can buy I am impressed with this jacket. Never had Norrona product before. I was "Mammut" brand customer for a long time. Now I am switching to Norrona. We were at the ski resort last weekend. First day was -15. Jacket was perfect. Next day was -1 but with heavy rain. I was dry as a gun powder. Everything mountain throw on this jacket it was a piece of cake for Norrona. Simply perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light jacket I'm doing a lot of mountains tours (alpinism and ski touring).. I need strong clothes because I use it very hard.. At first I wasn't sure to take a light jacket, but don't worry it's a very good product! I like it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I purchased this jacket after exhaustive research of many well known brands including Arc'teryx and North Face. I used it for snow skiing and snowmobiling in temps below 30 degrees in Vail, Colorado. If layered properly, this is the only jacket you will ever need. Excellent quality.

Hello all, i would like to know where is this trollveggen Gore-Tex jacket made from (what country is this made from)? Thank you in advance.

    Asked by: Jeff
I bought the Clean Green jacket and am really happy with it. I was disappointed to see the “made in China” tags when I received it in the mail.

Hi, what is the difference between Trollveggen Gore-tex Pro and Trollveggen Gore-tex Light Pro products? Both seem to use the same Gore-tex pro membrane? Is the former using a N80p Gore-tex Pro and the latter a N40? Thx!

    Asked by: Kristof
Please give more details. I assume that BOTH are 40 denier. But the non Light is reinforced with 80 den "patches" on shoulder, arms etc. As seen on the YELLOW photo -- the dark yellow would be 80, the light yellow would be 40 den And its too bad you couldnt equip the Light Pro with a two way front zipper, not neccesarily the expensive one, but a good waterreppellent YKK zipper.

it looks as if every customer is using this jacket in a cold weather situation? i'm looking for a rain jacket to use in warmer conditions... is this jacket appropriate for warm weather?

    Asked by: ovaloids
Hi Ovaloids, This trollveggen gore-tex light pro jacket is an all year jacket. The jacket preforms very well in warmer conditions. The jacket has the Gore-Tex Pro membrane with great breathability. The underarm vents also helps when its warm. Best regards, Sara /Norrøna Fan Support
