The trollveggen flex1 men's jacket is the optimal
choice for mountaineers in need of a durable light
weight garment with great flexibility. The jacket has
the same great moving range as its family members
falketind flex1 and svalbard flex1, but also provides
the durabilty from the svalbard combined with the
lightweight of the falketind. It has under arm zippers
to provide great venting while challenging steep
mountains. Other features include chest pockets,
hand warming pockets and one hand adjustable hood.
A single ply stretchy fabric that provides wind resistance and water-repellent while allowing improved moisture vapour transportation rates compared to waterproof products. These specially designed fabrics have all the attributes we expect in a Soft Shell: stretch, water-repellency, wind resistance and excellent moisture vapour transportation.
Two vertical chest pockets which does not conflict with harness or hip belt. These are often used for keeping your gloves for easy access. The zippers are made by YKK and are water resistant, not waterproof.

Excellent versatile soft shell jacketThis jacket impressed me while testing it for several days with different activities. I'm 172 cm and approx 60kg, and S fits me well. Got to test this as I'm working at Norrøna HQ. Foremost it was used for ski touring and camp life while tenting in Kvaløya (Tromsø, Norway). It has a regular fit and feels soft when wearing it. There are good ventilation possibilities and the jacket itself breathes well with the fabric it is made in. The hood also was critical to have when it suddenly started to come strong winds and snow, and I have to admit that I also found the hood great in narrowing my sight when we were in psychological demanding conditions with steeps quite close. The jacket dries really quick too. I used it as the outer layer most of the time with a Norrøna wool baselayer beneath, and had the lyngen alpha vest on the outside when there was a need for more warmth. Also brought with me a lofoten active hard shell and lofoten super light down jacket. Used the trollveggen flex1 pants as ski touring pants.
