The trollveggen ACE down950 Jacket is the obvious choice for demanding and quality conscious mountaineers, providing excellent warmth and durability. It’s the tougher bigger sibling of the classic trollveggen down and is the warmest and most durable down jacket for mountaineering.
Engineered for adventurers aiming for rugged walls and high peaks, this down jacket is made with durable PU coated Vectran outer fabric; it’s windproof, highly water resistant and has both horizontal and vertical liquid crystal polyester fibers to prevent further tear damage if an accident occurs.
The exclusive 950 fill goose down offers superior warmth at a low weight and is of course RDS 2.0 certified. The laminated baffle construction eliminates the risk of leakage and prevents down leakage which can be caused by needle holes.
The fit is athletic with a great moving range, perfect when challenging both the cold and steep mountains. Other features include practical hand warming pockets, an insulating hood with one hand adjustment option and an inside pocket.

down950™ RDS Certified
down™950 Our down products use the highest available down quality that we can find, which is a bi-product of the food industry (in contrast to being killed just for insulation). All treatment of the birds complies with European standards, and the highly specialized washing of the down passes the Oeko- Tex 100 standards. Our down™950 means down fill power from 950 to 1000 cu in/oz with the percentage of down cluster from 93–96%.
Zxion® A polyester fiber with high tensile strength and great elasticity. It has excellent heat resistance, acid resistance, resistance to cutting, vibration damping property, and low water absorption.
Responsible Down Standard (RDS)
The Responsible Down Standard (RDS/RDS2.0) ensures that down and feathers come from ducks and geese that have been treated well. This means enabling them to live healthy lives, express innate behavior, and not suffer from pain, fear or distress. The standard also follows the chain of custody from farm to product, so consumers can be confident that the down and feathers in the products they choose are truly RDS.
Norrøna continuously strives to improve the function and sustainability of our products. In order to get the best combination of sustainability and performance this product was developed with a C0/NFC finish which means we removed the fluorocarbon chemistry (PFC) from the water repellent treatment. Unfortunately this may temporarily cause “chalk marks” or visual irregularities on the surface of the fabric, but it will disappear after the first wash and it does not effect the performance of the product.
Bluesign® Approved Fabric
The independent bluesign® system pursues the unique approach to minimize the environmental impact of materials throughout the production process. The so-called Input Stream Management ensures that all during the textile production process applied substances and raw materials are already verified in advance of the production. The system focus guarantees the application of sustainable ingredients in a cleaner process that reduces water and air emissions, improves its waste water treatment and generally reduces its ecological footprint.
