Ski touring pants that combines the best of two worlds: waterproofness, breathability and the weight of a normal shell pant, with the softness, flexibility and breathability of a soft shell. It’s perfect if you enjoy the hike up as much as the turns going down. The driflex™3 material is waterproof, windproof, soft and flexible, and has a comfortable inside material. The pants are stripped for all unecessary details to make it as lightweight as possible, but also upgraded with Cordura reinforcement on the bottom leg for increased durability. Other details are ventilation zips on the side, thigh pockets, and removable gaiters. Inseam length in size L = 85 cm. Length differs 2 cm per size up and down.

Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products: Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Ski-touring. First time I had the Norrona Lyngen pants was 5 years ago. Now I have my second Lyngen dry-flex pants, I use them for working in snow, and they fit so comfy you will really think you're wearing your pyjamas dressed on. Very lightwear, ergonomic and very good for ski-touring.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fabric, missing on tailoring and features I have used these pants for 3 days of skiing powder and 3 days of resort. I find the fabric excellent in terms of waterproofness and breathability (which is of course helped by the long side zippers) Tailoring is bad - the crotch is too short so the pants waist sits too low, making them slide down a lot. The integrated belt with side Velcro strips is an idea that should be banned for good from all sports pants, I am not able to understand what was wrong with the normal belt and why the sports world needed this innovation.... In this particular model it is very poorly implemented as they use bad quality Velcro that doesn’t stay attached. Also the waist clips are undoing themselves all the time requiring frequent stops for re-adjusting the pants. The pants have a waist zipper but it is not clear why? There is no Lyngen bib available and the Lofoten bib does not fit, according to Norona’s official explanation on the Lofoten bib page. The state that a Lyngen specific bib will be launched in 2018 - I think this should have been sold together with the pants. I really hope that they launch this bib soon as it may solve most of the problems described above. The last error in design is the lack of different leg lengths - this only comes in one length and if they’re long you really have no solutions, they can’t be easily shortened because of the side zipper. The pants don’t have hooks within the pockets to attach keys or other small items, like I have in other skiing or touring pants. I had to buy them as they were the only option available to me at the moment and I needed waterproof pants urgently. For the eye-watering price I cannot give more than two stars. I would not buy them again unless the problems with the waist slippage are solved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for multiple usage Excellent for multiple usage I have used the lyngen pants the whole season 16/17 for various types of skiing, and have a new favourite. The pants are very comfortable and flexible. I have used the pants in combination with the Lofoten bib, which is an ok fit. I can highly recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent ski touring pants that are soft and confortable Excellent ski touring pants that are soft and confortable and less "rigid" than other Gortex-like products on the market. These pants are great for ski touring where good flexibility, wind and water proofness are required. I had originally ordered the size Small but had to return them for Medium. Excellent return service from Norrona at their shipping oulet in Denmark (I live in France). I recently used the pants on one day ski touring trips in the Alps and also in the Pyrenees. Kept me warm and dry. If I were to improve the product I would offer different leg lengths (I am only 5ft 6 tall; 169 cm). But overall a great product that Norrona should continue to improve and perhaps offer in other colours.

I don't understand: in the image of the pant laterally I see a full zip that start just under the waist and stop until the foot, in the video I see a half zip that stop just on the knee... What is the right version?

    Asked by: Teone81
It is a full zip. Great pant I can recommend it very much

Why do these pants have a zipper around the waist? Are they compatible with the lofoten spare bib? If they are, does Norrona still carry a zip-seal powder skirt that zips into the pants as well as the jacket?

    Asked by: Johnny
Hi Johnny, The pants have zipper around the waist because you can zip on the lofoten spare part bib. No we dont have that zip-seal powder skirt anymore. Its out of production unfortunately. Best regards, Nina
