A 2.5-layer technical fabric, dri™1 is constructed with face fabric laminated to a printed membrane on the backside. Without needing a liner, it is a soft, ultra-lightweight, low-volume protective material using a hydrophilic system of moisture transportation rather than microporous holes. Suitable for biking, walking, hiking and other outdoor sports where it’s important to shield the body against rain and wind. Technical Specifications: Waterproof: min. 20,000 mm Breathability: Very Good min. 20,000 Windproofness: 100% * ISO811-test ** JIS-L 1099 B2-inverted cup test
Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products: Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what you expect from a Norrøna product Fresh out of the box I put this jacket to the test. Cycling through driving rain and bone chilling wind, I felt nothing but comfort in this jacket. Truely a masterpiece of material engineering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flott teknisk lett jakke. Har brukt den både mot regn og vind. På sykkel eller fjelltur. På grunn av sin lette vekt, var den ypperlig å ha i sekken når man skulle opp i over 3300 meter - kjølig på toppen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, how does a jacket like this stay dry I have had this jacket for about 6 months it's stood up to the test of most weather conditions very well. Today this jacket to the next level. After 6 hrs of torrential Alpine rain still have a dry fjora long sleeve top and trollveggan fleece. Just awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lett, behagelig og slitesterk. Lett å ta med i sekken, og lett og god å ha på. holder meg lun og tørr i trøndersk vær og vind. Godt stoff i halsen. Imponerte meg da den også tålte et lite velt på asfalt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket which keeps you warm & dry I have this jacket since a couple of months and it has proven to be very useful. Really lightweight and easy to put in a backpack on cloudy days, still perfectly functional when the weather turns bad... Just remember to wear breathable clothing underneath it for optimal performance. I have a double feeling about the absence of a hood. Without a hood you have a jacket with a better fit, it is more streamlined, and you're wearing a helmet so the hood is a bit useless. But on rainy, cold and windy days in the mountains, it can be nice to protect your head while you shelter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super jakke Dette er min 2 Fjørå jakke. Er super fornøyd med produktet og et midt å ha med på tur. Både på vei og i skogen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very nice piece of kit! I've been using this jacket in XL for cool and wet weather riding and it has worked flawlessly. My only complaint is that the sleeves are really long - I have pretty long arms to begin with but there is still an inch or so extra length. Its not a show stopper but its a little annoying at times. I would also like to see a hood option for wet weather riding

How does the fabric compare to gore pro or active shell in termsof breathability, durability and waterproofness?

    Asked by: weatherington80
I'm not familiar with mentioned fabrics however this Norrona jacket is extremely light, can be folded to small pack and very durable. I have used in Thailand during rainy days, waterproofness is excellent - breathability considering Thailand high humidity I would say very good. Same goes for Singapore during rainy days Also I used in Norway during rainy days while cycling and at that temperature (8 to 15C) waterproofness excellent same breathability. Highly recommended
