Washing your GORE-TEX® and dri products will prolong the life of the product. This is how you should wash GORE-TEX® and dri products:
Remember to close all zippers and Velcro. The garment should be washed at 40 degrees, with a mild detergent and no softening or rinsing agents. Do not use bleach. Softeners, rinsing agents and bleaches can damage the fabric’s water-resistant properties (not the membrane/waterproofing) and the color of the fabric. Rinse the garment twice, if possible. Use water repellent spray on the outside of the garment after washing for optimal water-resistance (this has nothing to do with the waterproof quality of the garment, but makes it easier for water to roll off the outer fabric). Dry the garment on a low setting in the dryer, if you like, or iron it at a low temperature. Warmth helps to reactivate the waterproofing. The garment must be dry before washing and before being put away.

Best shell jacket ever ownedI have owned around 20 high end goretex jackets/shells over a 30 year period and these were used both in the military application and also in civilian life. The Dovre dri3 jacket and trousers have proved themselves to be the best I've kit I've owned, after a hard 2 years of abuse in the Scottish Highlands they still perform as new, would highly recommend.

Terribly disappointedI had high expectations of Norrona and the Dovre dri3 jacket, but was sadly disappointed as the jacket soon lost its waterproofness. Also the zippers started to fail quite quickly and while the jacket is supposed to be "made for mountain hunting with all its weather, terrain and rough nature", the jacket is showing significant wear and tear already after two soft winters in The Netherlands. I can't recommend this jacket to anyone. I'd like to show you the pictures, but the photo functionality of this website doesn't work on the Mac...

Perfect jacket for in the field on hunting tripsPurchased this jacket over a year ago and have put it through its paces, from days of torrential rain in the highlands of Scotland whilst stalking Red Deer to being out on the grouse moors in horizontal rain whilst at a standstill.
What has really impressed me is its versatility. When on the move you can keep cool but continue to stay dry and when at a standstill it keeps the rain and any driving wind at bay. The only time I've got wet in this coat is when there is so much water coming down that it runs from my head and down my neck. Every other part of me as always stayed totally dry. It's such a perfect versatile jacket that i have so far persuaded 5 family and friends to buy it and they've all individually told me how great it is. Would very strongly recommend this coat to anyone looking for a versatile, totally breathable and completely waterproof hunting coat but which is also not too heavy.

Versatile and silent hunting jacketA clever, versatile hunting jacket that borrows the best from regular outdoor clothing and combines it with a brushed garment that keeps movements silent. I have used it for a couple of hunting seasons and it has never failed in keeping me dry, even when being outdoor entire days in rain.

Excellent all round performerHad the jacket for over a year now and very happy with it. Use it mainly for protection while hill walking and also for fishing. Protection from the elements is excellent with a particularly well designed hood. There is plenty of room in the arms which makes fly casting easy. The only negative element is that the jacket performs best if worn with waterproof trousers. For some reason, be it length of the front of the jacket or the angle of the hem, when raining the water tends to run off and collect at the top of the legs. Minor complaint though. All round excellent jacket that I could conceivably wear every day
