Our privacy policy


Norrøna Sport AS works to ensure that your privacy is protected when using our service. We therefore have a policy setting out how your personal data will be processed and protected. 

Norrøna gathers, collects and analyzes data of use, traffic and actions on Norrøna’s website. We might also use the cookie to give personal product recommendations and services. By using our website you accept our use of cookies (explained below). 

Norrøna is not using the cookie based information to identify individuals.

Where is your data stored?

The data we collect is being stored within the European Economic Area ("EEA"), but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside of EEA. Any such transfer of your data will be in accordance with applicable laws.

What is being collected?

Norrøna is gathering and analyzing, without limiting this, the following information about our users:
- IP-address
- Browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer etc.)
- Operating system (Windows etc.)
- Geographical position
- Interactions with advertisements (ex. clicks or impressions)
- Pages viewed

Norrøna also collects personal data that you submit to us, for example, when you place orders, contact with our customer experience department, create an account or participate in a competition.

How do we use data that you submit to us?

We may use your personal data for:
- Create and manage your account on
- Process orders and returns 
- Send newsletter (if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe in any newsletter you receive)
- Send notification when product is in stock (if  you have subscribed)
- To send you surveys and product review mail
- To rate your customer service contact with us
- To notify the winner in online competitions
- To contact you in terms of problems with delivery or your order

We will keep your data as long as needed to fulfil the purpose above or for as long as we are required by law.

Who has access to your data?

Your data may be shared within the Arktis Holding Group, including per now, Norrøna Sport, Norrøna Q and Norrøna Retail.
We never pass on, sell or swap your data for marketing purposes to third parties outside the Arktis Holding Group.

Data that is forwarded to third parties, is only used to provide you with the services mentioned above, for example shipping agents in connection with the delivery of goods.


A cookie is a small text file that is saved to, and, during subsequent visits, retrieved from your computer, tablet or mobile device. Norrøna uses cookies to enhance and simplify your visit. We do not use cookies to store personal information, or to disclose information to third parties.

There are two types of cookies: permanent and temporary (session cookies).

Permanent cookies are stored as a file on your computer or mobile device for no longer than 12 months. Session cookies are stored temporarily and disappear when you close your browser session. Norrøna use permanent cookies to store your log in to your account, remember your wishlist products and save your shopping cart.

Session cookies is used for you to be able to perform the filtration function, check if you are logged in or to remember that you have put a certain product to the shopping bag.

You can easily erase cookies from your computer or mobile device using your browser. For instructions on how to handle and delete cookies please look under "Help" in your browser. You can choose to disable cookies, or to receive a notification each time a new cookie is sent to your computer or mobile device. Please note that if you choose to disable cookies, you will not be able to take advantage of all our features.

Third-party cookies

We use third-party cookies to collect statistics in aggregate form in analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar. The cookies used are both permanent and temporary cookies (session cookies). The permanent cookies are stored on your computer or mobile device for no longer than 24 months.
