Rated 5 von 5 von aus Good construction, design Stitching, down fill construction are both evidently well-done. The zipper is strong, and the pockets are just the right size and placement on my frame (170cm). Design features (like chin guard, hood drawcord, ruffled and re-inforced arm cuffs) are appreciated. The jacket looks nice around the city and holds up well in a stuff-sack when I am taking it into the back-country. I often ski with it under a simple waterproof hardshell. I find the sizing to run large. EU XS is roomy on my frame and I am normally buy an EU 36/UK 8/US 2 for a roomier fit. I was only unsatisfied with shipping: I purchased the jacket at a discount from an EU dealer and the full price was listed on the packing slip, meaning I paid higher than expected duties & charges. I was later refunded by Customs after submitting proof of payment, but it was a hassle.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Seven summits, herre we come I bought this jacket for mountaineering throughout the worlds highest summits. The jacket has been my true friend in Nepal and Russia -and hopefully in Argentina next year. It's light, warm and easy to pack. What's more to wish for :-)

Hi, I just bought the Norrøna Falketind Gore-Tex Jacket in Small and am interested in purchasing this down jacket for layering underneath. Will the lyngen lightweight down750 Jacket in Small fit under the Norrøna Falketind Gore-Tex Jacket in size Small?

Gefragt von: keren
Hi keren, Yes it should fit. But that also depend on how big the falketind gore-tex jacket is on you. If that jacket is very tight, it can be difficult with any size under, but as long as it has a bit room inside, a Small should fit great :) Best regards Nina

Hi, I'm travelling from Australia to Norway this winter and I'm not really used to very cold weather. Would this jacket be warm enough for winter weather? I also want to wear it under the Falketind Gore-Tex Jacket (S) - so which size is best?

Gefragt von: Fiona
I have a Bitihorn Dri3 jacket in S and it makes a bit too tight combination with a size S Lyngen down jacket. However, I think that Falketind might be slightly more loosely cut. I wouldn't recommend you taking a size XS of the down jacket if S is your size, just to be able to fit it under your shell, for it might be too tight and therefore too cold. As for the suitability for winter weather - quite difficult to say, it all depends on your own "chill factor" and of course the winter temperatures in Norway at the time of your travel. Being from Australia, you probably aren't that used to cold temperatures, so I would suggest you get a jacket with more down. Better to play it safe! I'm a Finn and use the Lyngen all year around, but on winter hikes and skitours (temperatures around -15 --30 degrees Celsius) I always take a heavier, warmer jacket. Hope this helps!

Hi there, I am wondering whether this jacket contains goose or duck down? If it is goose, is it white or grey? Many thanks for your feedback. Cheers, S

Gefragt von: Svetlana
Hi, In this jacket we use duck down. The down is certified according to Traumpass and Downpass. In 2017 we will move to the RDS certification, but the current solution guarantees that the animals are treated well, the down is not plucked from live animals, and that they are bred for food. You can read more about our down here: http://norrona.com/en-GB/Corporate-Social-Responsibility/Products/Exclusive-use-of-Downpass--Traumpass/ and http://norrona.com/en-GB/Corporate-Social-Responsibility/Products/Exclusive-use-of-RDS-down/.
