Designer
Norrøna is seeking a Designer to join forces with other energetic and creative people. If you are a person that knows that the details count and are continuously striving to make better products, this can be the job for you. All product development is done in-house, and we test our products locally. We are seeking an individual with strong construction and sketching experience to help push us further. It is rare that a design position is open within our team so we are seeking an individual that wants a long term position in a company that will grow through excellent products and service. You need to be able to design clean lines and thoroughly understand how seams can be used both to enhance fit and movement while improving the aesthetics. You must be a team player and believe it takes individuals working together towards a common goal to make great products.Key success factors for this role include:
• Strong, clean design skills.
o Ability to develop sketches and accurately place design lines based on product briefs.
o Ability to communicate the proper fit for the specific user group.
o Ability to explain construction ideas to the Product Specialists.

• A good knowledge of construction techniques with gluing and welding a plus.
• Ability to be efficient and extremely detailed oriented.

Product Development Responsibilities
• Research and develop the right products to meet consumer needs.
• Design technical details that push Norrøna innovation utilizing a clean approach.
• Review test reports and service complaints to ensure the products are as good as possible.
• Talk to Product Testers to get ideas and get fed back on new ideas.
• Provide detailed product information through percise drawings and detailed design briefs to Product Specialists and Product Technicians so that prototypes and BOM’s can be created in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure feasibility of designs to meet concept criteria and price points.
Your Profile:
• BA, BFA or BS in Design.
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant design experience in technical outerwear, lifestyle or with knit products.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patterns and product fit.
• Extreme attention to detail, demonstrate initiative, and the ability to gather the proper input to make sound decisions.
• Ability to work in the color team for the entire collection.
• Working knowledge of design programs such as Corel Designer or Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and WebPDM
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; Norwegian an advantage.

Supply Chain Executive
Norrøna is seeking a passionate, team-oriented and commercially aware Supply Chain Executive with strong communication skills.As Supply Chain Executive in Norrøna, you are the main contact person for designated manufacturers. You have the complete responsibility for production and delivery of assigned manufacturers and garment portfolio. This includes responsibility for preparing, placing and follow-up on purchase, specifiactions and production orders, as well as negotiating prices.
Furthermore, the Supply Chain Executive is responsible for the overall quality processes and corporate social responsibility in Norrøna. This entails developing and maintaining the quality strategy and quality control system for production and manufacturers, and being the key contact towards external quality inspection partners.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor or Master degree specialising in business, marketing or logistics, and 3-5 years of relevant work experience within the area of supply chain, logistics or production activities. Commercial understanding and strong communication skills are essential in order to succeed in this role. Norrøna is looking for a solution-oriented, hands-on, proactive and structured person that upholds high ethical and quality standards with focus on continuous improvement and initiative. Fluency in oral and written English is required.

Product Specialist/Pattern Maker
Norrøna is seeking a Product Specialist/Pattern Maker to join forces with other likeminded energetic and creative people. We put the time and energy into every product we make, because we believe it matters. All product development is done in-house, and we test our products locally. We are seeking an individual with strong pattern and construction experience to help our international team push the boundaries and create fun, exciting products without compromise. The Product Specialist/Patternmaker is responsible for creating a 2 dimensional sketch into an innovative, exciting product that does not compromise when it comes to performance.
Key success factors for this role includes:
-Strong pattern making skills, preferably working on a computer system such as Lectra.
o Ability to study sketches and accurately place design lines.
o Ability to ensure the proper fit for the specific user group.
o Ability to explain construction ideas to the sampling department.
• An intense desire to be innovative and test your ideas.
• A good knowledge of construction techniques with gluing and welding a plus.
• Ability to be efficient and extremely detailed oriented.
• Strong written and verbal skills in English.
• Ability to make decisions, and provide thorough and precise evaluations.
• Responsible to follow timelines and make sure all hand-offs are on-time.
• Ensure the manufacturer knows precisely what is required and that quality and function are consistently achievable.

Product Development Responsibilities

• Test commerciality of technical details with Product Technicians.
• Review test reports and work with testers to ensure the products are as good as possible.
• Talk to Product Testers to get ideas and get fed back on new ideas.
• Travel to the factories to secure your work is understood prior to initial production.
Your Profile:
• Degree from College or university with focus in pattern construction.
• Minimum of 2-5 years related pattern experience.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and factory experience is beneficial.
• Experience and testing of newer construction methods are preferred.
• Experience working on technical waterproof taped products.
• Ability to travel long distances and communicate with our manufacturers.
• Fluent English; Norwegian an advantage.
• Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to proactively communicate within RD&D and with Supply Chain and our manufacturers.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
