The Lyngen Alps rise above the spectacular fjords of the Lyngen Peninsula in the northeast of Norway. Popular with experienced mountain ski tourers, climbers and hikers, the Alpine-like mountain range boasts several glaciers and the region´s highest peak, Jiehkkevarri (1883 m.).
